I had returned to
fluxbox when
kahakai died, and really missed the scripting (window placement, etc) that it had.
But, fluxbox's development version is... buggy.. seems slower than stable, too. But stable lacks the features of dev.
Anyway, tossing fluxbox entirely and trying something different seemed a good option a week ago, hope it was a good idea.
So, I recently switched from fluxbox to
ion (gotta love those tabbed frames)
One slight hitch: I didn't really care for the default keybindings, menu, or themes that ion provided.
So, since ion2 is designed with that likelyhood in mind, I easily created my own.
I've also tried ion3, but while it has some interesting features, the main reason i'm using ion is for the
target function in kludges.
I want all (or most of) my programs to automagically go to the 'correct' place and
this is either broken in ion3 or the configuration of it has changed...
